Finn is 6 and from Gorham, Maine. He has been diagnosed with high risk Medullablastoma, one of the most common forms of brain cancer in children. This quilt is being raffled. Buy 6 for $5 or 1 of $1. Once again we will be sponsoring the GIANT puppets and Stilt-walker from the Shoestring Theater. We are looking for a few middle or high school students as well as adults to assist with the puppets and also some kiddo to wear the amazing dinosaurs heads that were features in Gorham's First Community Theater performance of "The Universe and Other Stuff". If you can help, please let us know.

USM Youth Ensembles Open Music Auditions
The USM Youth Ensembles will hold open auditions are for musicians grades 12 and younger interested in performing in the upcoming fall season. The USM Youth Ensembles include the Portland Youth Symphony Orchestra, the Portland Youth Wind Ensemble, the Portland Young People’s String Consort, the Portland Youth Junior Orchestra, and the Southern Maine Children’s Choir. Singers are especially welcome. The ensembles study with USM School of Music faculty and area professional musicians, and perform at the end of each season. Auditions are approximately 10 minutes in length and will consist of a prepared piece(s) of the applicant's choice.
